However, if you're arriving early or staying a bit longer after the celebration and would like to explore more of this beautiful island, we’ve curated a list of must-visit destinations that we highly recommend.

In Colombo

Gangaramaya Temple – A serene Buddhist temple with intricate architecture and a peaceful ambiance.


Galle Face Green – A popular oceanside park for a relaxed stroll and local street food.


Colombo National Museum – Discover Sri Lanka’s rich history and heritage here.


Pettah Market – A bustling bazaar perfect for shopping and sampling Sri Lankan street food.


Lotus Tower – Sri Lanka's tallest structure and a landmark offering panoramic views of Colombo; the tower lights up at night with colorful displays, making it a spectacular sight.


Colombo Night Life – Colombo is filled with a buzzing nightlife, offering a variety of clubs and bars for a fun evening out. Here are some popular spots to check out: Octopussy, Rhythm and Blues (RNB), Chiller Room and Playtrix.
